Brilliant Legal Representation

“I was recently represented by Kang & Co Solicitors for a drink driving charge. From the initial telephone call it was clear that Kang & Co were experts in this field. They provided sound advice and diligently guided me through the process leading up to the court case. Through their legal representation I was able to avoid a community order and receive the best possible outcome for my case .”

Flawless Legal Help

“They had very little time to go ahead with getting all valid documents needed for my case, they were extremely efficient and great at calming me and keeping me updated with my case and it’s details with interviews and courtrooms to appear in, overall great experience with kang and co, I came out with a 2 year suspended sentence instead of a 1 year custodial sentence for GBH without intent. I now get to spend the time caring for my nan and helping with my family’s needs.”

Arson Solicitors

Specialist criminal solicitors and barristers at representing clients facing investigation for Arson

The offence of arson is contained within Section 1(3) of the Criminal Damage Act 1971. This criminal offence is committed if a person destroys or damages property by fire, the offence is essentially causing criminal damage by fire. If you have been charged with arson, you should secure expert legal representation so that you have the best possible chance of receiving a successful outcome at Court. Our specialist private funded criminal law solicitors have successfully represented many clients throughout England and Wales for arson on competitive fixed fees which start from £2,500+VAT. If you would like to speak with a member of our criminal defence team to understand how we can help, please call us on 03308189847 or complete our Contact Form.

Paying Privately for Representation for Arson

We have been covering only private client criminal cases for many years and the benefits to our clients are clear. Our clients receive a much higher level of legal expertise and attention, because they are funding their cases privately. This enables us to dedicate more time in preparing the case, compared with firms that may also offer legal aid. Legal aid lawyers (Duty Solicitors) are often over-worked and are covering more cases than they should, as the nature of their work is reactive, and this can result in your case not receiving the time and attention it deserves.

Our private client solicitors are specialists in their field, have significant experience and will have dealt with other cases like yours in the past and will know the best strategies to achieve a not guilty verdict.

Simple Arson

There are several different offences that fall under arson, which include simple arson, arson (being reckless as to whether life is endangered) and arson with intent to endanger life.

The offence of ‘simple arson’ occurs when a person causes criminal damage by fire. Some examples of this include setting fire to a car, shed or a commercial property. This is a serious offence and if serious damage is caused, the case will be heard in the Crown Court where a person could be given a sentence of life imprisonment. If minor damage has occurred, it is possible for the case to be kept in the Magistrates’ Court where it is possible to avoid a prison sentence and receive a community order.

If charged, the factual circumstances surrounding the offence will differ on a case by case basis and this will determine whether there is scope to challenge the prosecution and whether the case is sent to the Crown Court.

When Should You Contact Our Specialist Criminal Solicitors?

If you are suspected of committing a Arson and have been asked to attend the police station or have recently been charged, please contact us as soon as possible. Seeking legal advice at an early stage will significantly increase the prospects of a successful outcome and will ensure that your defence is properly established from the outset. Contacting us at an early stage of the investigation or immediately after charge will enable us to advise you of the cost of representation, how you ought to plead and the options available to you.

What Will Happen When You Contact Us?

When you call us regarding your case, you will be transferred to one of our Private Criminal Defence Solicitors and we will take some initial details regarding the allegation made against you. As such matters can be life changing, we cannot provide any detailed advice on how you should plead, and the strength of your case during the initial phone call. Detailed advice will be provided once we are formally instructed as your lawyers and once we have considered the evidence in the case.
