Agreed Fixed Fee Packages
We advise and represent all our clients on ‘Agreed Fixed Fee Packages’. Our lawyers offer a range of different agreed fixed fee packages based upon the type of case and service our clients require. The cost of an agreed fixed fee package will depend upon the type of case, number of offences, the amount of preparation work involved, the amount of time we have to prepare the case and if applicable the location of the Magistrates’ or Crown Court.
Agreed Fixed Fee representation packages are available for all matters involving Driving Offences, Criminal Law, Regulatory Law, Transport Law and Licensing Law. All our agreed fixed fee packages are non-refundable.
Our Initial Agreed Fixed Fee Packages for Motoring Offence cases, which can include representation at the First Magistrates’ Court Hearing range from £1,500+VAT up to £5,000+VAT. The fixed fee our lawyers agreed with each potential client is based upon the number of offences a person is facing prosecution for, the type of offence, the seriousness of the offence and the time involved to prepare the case. If you would like to know the cost of representation for your case, please contact one of our lawyers.
Initial Agreed Fixed Fees for Summary Only Motoring Offences
Our initial fixed fee packages for ‘Summary Only’ Motoring Offences such as Speeding, Drink Driving, Careless Driving, Totting-Up Driving Bans and Exceptional Hardship Applications, which usually includes representation at the First Court Hearing range from £1,500 + VAT up to £5,000 + VAT. The fee our lawyers agreed to advise and represent you at Court is based upon the number of offences you are being prosecuted for, the type of offence, the seriousness of the offence and the time involved to prepare your case. If you would like to know the precise cost of representation for your specific case, please contact one of our Solicitors or Barristers.
Please note that if we are appointed at short notice, and only have a few days to prepare your case before the First Magistrates’ Court Hearing, the fee will be higher, this is to reflect the fact that your case will be treated as a priority case in order for it to be ready for the Court Hearing. If you have received a Court Summons for a motoring offence, and require legal representation at Court, you should appoint a lawyer as soon as possible, as this will provide us with enough time to prepare your case in good time and will not result in a higher agreed fixed fee.
Timescales
As part of the agreed fee for Road Traffic Offences, if your fee includes representation at a Court Hearing, we will attend the Magistrates’ Court on the day and meet with you before the commencement of your Court Hearing. We anticipate being at Court for up to 2 hours however, if we are at Court for longer than we have anticipated, you will not be required to pay any additional legal fees for the extra time at Court, because we have agreed to represent you up to a certain stage for a fixed fee. We are unable to provide a timescale of exactly when your hearing will take place, as this depends on how busy the Court is on the day.
Additional Costs
If you appoint us to represent you for a Summary Only Motoring Offence on an Agreed Fixed Fee, the fixed fee package may also include representation at one Magistrates’ Court Hearing. If your case is not concluded within the First Hearing, due to the case being adjourned by the Court, or not concluding for any other reason, a further agreed fixed fee will need to be paid if you would like us to represent you at any additional Court Hearings. The additional fee will depend upon the offence you are being prosecuted for, the location of the Court and the complexity of your case and the type of Court Hearing you require representation at. Our lawyers will explain the likely cost of this in the initial case meeting.
There will also be additional costs if you would like to have more than one case meeting, the cost of additional meetings will depend upon the type of case, the complexity of the case and whether the additional case meeting is a telephone meeting or meeting at our offices.
If you would like to have a meeting in person at your home or place of work instead of a meeting at our offices or a telephone meeting, meetings at your home or place of work will attract an additional cost. The cost of home / workplace visits varies and will take account of our travelling time, the length of the meeting and our travel expenses.
Face-to-Face Meetings
Some of our fixed fee packages include a meeting in person at our offices, if however due to timescales or availability a face-to-face meeting is not able to take place, we will conduct a telephone meeting instead of a meeting in person. If a telephone meeting takes place this will be instead of a meeting in person.
Payment Options
We accept payment via BACS, Online Transfer, Credit Card, Debit Card, VISA, Maestro, MasterCard, VISA Electron and American Express.

Timescales for Summary Only Motoring Offences
Usually if a client is pleading guilty to a summary only motoring offence case from the point at which we are appointed the case will be concluded on average 2-3 months. A guilty plea on a summary only motoring offence case will be completed in the Magistrates’ Court.
If a client enters a not guilty plea to a summary only motoring offence from the point of being instructed, it will usually take on average 6 months for the case to be concluded.
The time estimates mentioned above are general indications of how long these cases take. However if the Magistrates’ Court is experiencing a substantial backlog cases are likely to take longer the conclude.
Additional Costs
In the event that additional work is required, we will let you know at the time and in advance wherever possible. There are no hidden costs and fixed fees always consider all the information we have at the time and the service that is required.
Where required we will provide you with another fixed fee quote based on your specific requirements for any additional work and you will always be aware of the fees involved at every stage.
Recover Your Legal Fees
For Driving Offences and Criminal Prosecutions, if you are found ‘Not Guilty’ after trial or the Prosecution decide to discontinue the case against you, you may be entitled to recover a proportion of your legal fees from Court Central Funds if the Court grants a Defence Costs Order, therefore defending your case may not cost as much as you initially anticipated. If you would like more information on potentially recovering some of your legal fees, please call one of our solicitors on 0345 222 9955.
